Texas Architecture Firm Rankings
The index publishes four kinds of pages, and they answer different questions. A statewide ranking asks who is strongest across Texas in one field. A specialist ranking narrows to a discipline with its own criteria. A city residential ranking compares residential evidence within one market. The watch list is an unranked editorial shortlist — inclusion does not indicate a position below the ranked firms.

What does this mean? — Evidence grades
Grade A means the claim is supported by an independent national record or official registry. Grade B means it is supported by a professional jury or regional institution. Grade C means it was reported by the firm and has not yet been independently verified.
What does this mean? — Extended field
Firms ranked 6–10 have sufficient evidence for inclusion, but lower data density makes their exact order less stable. Read these positions as a band rather than a definitive numerical difference.
Frequently asked questions
Can a firm pay for a ranking position?
No. Ranked placement cannot be purchased at any price. Sponsored profile enhancements affect presentation only and are always labeled.
Why is a well-known firm missing?
Either it is not headquartered in Texas (international operators are grouped separately), or its public evidence base did not meet the 70 percent verification threshold for this edition.
How often do rankings change?
Once per annual edition. Corrections between editions are recorded in each page's changelog; positions change only when evidence changes.
